Privacy and cookie policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through wizardcy.com, why, on what legal basis, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and what your rights are.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller is Social Wizard Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus, which runs Media Wizard and this website (VAT CY10414821H).

We are a small team and have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Write to the e-mail above about anything in this policy.
What we collect, why, and on what legal basis
- Enquiry and quote forms (contact form, website-packages form): your name, phone, e-mail, message, the package you are interested in and your current website. We use them to reply to you and prepare an offer. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- Job applications (careers page): your name, e-mail, phone, portfolio link, experience, availability and anything else you choose to send. We use them only to consider you for the role. Legal basis: steps before a contract (art. 6(1)(b)).
- Newsletter and free guides: your e-mail address, the guide you asked for and your language. We send you the guide and a short monthly note. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you withdraw with the unsubscribe link in every e-mail.
- Analytics (only if you allow analytics cookies): pages viewed, clicks, approximate location, device and browser, through Google Analytics. We use it to see, in aggregate, what works on the website. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)).
- Advertising measurement (only if you allow marketing cookies): pages viewed, clicks and form submissions, sent to Meta through the Meta pixel in your browser and the Meta Conversions API from our server. The server copy adds your IP address, your browser type and, when you send a form with an e-mail address, a hashed (one-way coded) form of that address. We use it to measure which ads bring enquiries and to show our ads to people who visited the website. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)). For collecting and sending this data, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd and we are joint controllers. Meta's own processing is described in its privacy policy.
- Security and spam protection: our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested), and our forms use hidden anti-spam checks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website safe and working (art. 6(1)(f)).
Giving us your details is voluntary, but we cannot answer an enquiry or an application without a way to contact you. We do not sell personal data, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.
Who else receives it
We use these service providers. Each one processes data only for the purpose described:
- SiteGround: hosts the website and its server logs.
- Web3Forms: delivers the enquiry and application forms to our e-mail.
- Google Workspace: our e-mail, where form messages arrive.
- MailerLite (EU): newsletter and guide sign-ups. Its sign-up form may use Google reCAPTCHA against spam.
- Google Ireland Ltd: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, only with analytics consent.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd: Meta pixel and Conversions API, only with marketing consent.
Some of these providers, or their parent companies, may process data in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. When you first visit, nothing that tracks you is loaded: analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you allow them in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: .

The website's fonts and video thumbnails are served from our own server. Videos from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) and TikTok load only when you choose to play or open them. From that moment those services apply their own cookies and policies.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep what the law requires for contracts and invoices (in Cyprus, generally 6 years).
- Job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you agree that we keep them longer.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.
- Advertising measurement: as set by Meta for its ad tools.
- Server logs: kept by our host for a limited period for security.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what was done before. Write to manager@wizardcy.com. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the authority of the EU country where you live.
Security
The website is served only over HTTPS, and form messages go to our business mailbox. Access is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
